Gloucester Agricultural, Horticultural and Pastoral Society vice president Alison Kernahan said children’s activities, the opening of the new pavilion, ute pull and Rooftop Express show were among the popular attractions.
“It was a successful show, the weather was perfect,” she said.
She added that the show saw an increase in exhibitions.
“Considering the dry weather we’ve had, I didn’t think we’d get any,” she said.
“There was lots of produce and all the shelves filled.”
Other exhibitions included fruit, jams, cooking, flowers, arts, photography and wine.
Across the two days, cattle judging was contested in the junior beef, dairy, stud beef and prime categories.
A record number of juniors turned out for the beef events, which included competitors from the Gloucester High School Show Team and other schools from around the region.
In the ring, registered Australian stock horses, breed led classes and dressage were judged.
Plenty of prizes and sashes were also won at the poultry exhibition.
The demolition derby and ute pull proved popular with the crowds.
