At the end of the April meeting, members of Gloucester CWA enjoyed a pomegranate-themed lunch at Elaine and Bill Murray’s property, who have many pomegranate trees in their extensive garden. This unique fruit is the primary product of study being carried out by all CWA members in NSW. Agriculture and Environment officer, Sandy Tebbet shared some it's history and explained the different varieties. She also provided a delicious lunch of a cocktail, salads and dessert – all including pomegranates. The lunch was voted an outstanding success.

Earlier, a the meeting took place saw president Ann Mullen welcome new members, Robyn Scott and Margot Kirkup and branch delegate, Claire Reynolds discuss agenda items for the upcoming State Conference.
Several planned activities were tabled, including council's Family Fun Day on May 15 and the Garden Expo in October with the branch agreeing to be involved. Next meeting is Tuesday, May 8 at 10am. Visitors always welcome.
