The vocal section is up first, starting at 1pm on Tuesday (April 24), with the eight years and under entrants.
The section will continue to the Saturday (with the exception of Anzac Day) and all entrants will perform on the Manning Entertainment Centre stage.
The adjudicator for vocal is Sarah Marshall.
Sarah holds Bachelor and Masters degrees in Music Performance and has performed as a soloist for Opera Queensland, Queensland Symphony Orchestra and the ACO.
She is an experienced adjudicator and competition judge including the National Eisteddfod in Canberra and numerous regional competitions.
She also works as an AMEB singing and musical theatre examiner.
Past students of hers have gained entrance and scholarships to Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney Conservatoriums performance programs, NIDA’s music theatre program, WAAPA and the Berklee College of Music in Boston.
Others have gained principal roles with Opera Australia and recording contracts with BMG and Warner.
Following vocal, the Taree and District Eisteddfod will continue with piano from May 4 to 6, dance novice and groups from May 8 to 13, dance district and open between May 19 to 27, speech and drama from May 28 to June 2, instrumental from June 4 to 8 and school choirs on June 13 and 14.
The grand concert will be held on Saturday, June 16.
