“Taree Craft Centre members have been raising money for charities for many years by donating potted plants to sell at the Craft Cottage,” coordinator Pam Eyb said.
“We always participate in the Manning Winter Festival and as Taree PCYC is the chosen charity for 2018, we decided to make a bigger effort for our local club, and to ask members of the public to join us in that effort.”
Plants are already flowing in nicely and they will be sold right through until the end of June, so people have plenty of time to pot up a few plants for the cause.
Plant cuttings are also acceptable, especially succulent cuttings, as they are very popular at the moment.
Potted plants or cuttings can be dropped into the Taree Craft Cottage on the corner of High Street and Pulteney Street, Taree between 9.30am and 3.30pm Monday to Friday.
For collections or enquiries please call Pam on 6552 5552.
Funds raised will go to support the Taree PCYC, who is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year for things like the road leading into the facility which is in need of repair and is estimated to cost around $60,000.
