Play began evenly with the ball seeing equal time in either half but a break came for the Panthers down the left side as Mark Coombes was able to get a ball into the corner of the goal past the keeper.
Pressure continued against the Wolves when a push into the circle and attempt at goal by Warren Beggs went wide but was picked up by Dave Keen and deflected into the goal.
Play continued in the Panthers favour as they played the ball between each other in around Chatham’s defence.
Although there were some improvements in the structure still in need of attention, it was enough to keep Chatham on the back foot.
Young Harrison Moore playing on the wing found his stick in the right place to also catch a deflection in to the goal.
A further goal to Paul Rosenbaum saw the Panthers lead into the second half 4-0 up.
In the second half, Chatham were able to respond with a goal of their own but Brett Howard added to the Panthers total. Mark Coombes scored his second goal for the game and with ten minutes remaining, Dale Tonks came up to hit for short corner.
His first shot was stopped but on his second attempt, a shot high into the top of the goal left Gloucester with a great score line, winning 7-1.
Next week the men’s team has a bye before beginning the second round of the competition with an unbroken record.
