Local volunteer collectors including Gloucester High School students will be door knocking the Gloucester district on Sunday May 27 from 9.30am.
Vulnerable Australians rely on these programs every day.
The services range from providing shelter for the homeless, assisting families in crisis through practical support and financial counselling, homeless shelters, bereaved by suicide support to guiding people with addictions through to a clean, healthy lifestyle.
The Salvation Army services are available to the residents of Gloucester from Taree by calling 6551 2570.
Gloucester appeal coordinator, Paul Sheridan is urging anyone wishing to assist collecting for just three hours on Sunday, from 9am, to please call him on 0427750077. Or you can just drop in to the Majestic Theatre Arcade on the Sunday morning or call Grahame Holstein on 0438 136 370.
Last year the Gloucester community generously donated over $3,845 to the Red Shield Appeal for which the Salvation Army is most grateful and it again asks the Gloucester community to assist by making a donation.
Receipts will be issued for donations.
