The Very Hungry Caterpillar was the feature of a special storytime at Gloucester library.
Children from Barrington Street Preschool and storytime regulars gathered in the library on Monday May 28 to celebrate the classic storybook.
After the reading of the story was over, the children started working on a special craft involving a drawing of a donkey they could put colourful dot stickers on.
The craft was run by a volunteer from the Manning Regional Art Gallery as a way of introducing the children to art.
To further celebrate, the Manning Entertainment Centre (MEC) is holding The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show in two sessions on Wednesday June 27.
There will be a free family pass to the show drawn from the names of those who attended the special preschool storytime session.
Gloucester was the first to kick off the series of session which will be held across the libraries in the MidCoast Council region until June 18. Stroud Library held its session on Friday, June 1.
