Game seven this week was Scorpions vs Great Lakes Vikings. What a week leading up to the game, with Alex fracturing his arm by his horse and out for six weeks, Beau spraining his ankle a couple of hours before the game, Scorpions down two players and with a bleak and icy wind blowing from the west really topped the morning off.
Scorpions played their best game yet for the season, Vikings played hard and rough with several scorpion players being on the receiving end. The players kept it together and fought hard with Racheal pulling of the best tackle of the game.
Vikings where extremely lucky to pick up a goal in the first half, The ball kicked at the goals, Mitch diving and the ball hitting the goal post, rebounding and Vikings re-shooting with Mitch diving the other way and deflecting the ball back out and then scrambling to regain the ball, the ball had landed back at the feet of another Vikings player who popped it over Mitch’s head and into the goal. Vikings winning 1/0. Vikings manager said at the end of the game he felt extremely lucky to get the win,
Scorpions have two weeks off now a long weekend and a bye. Training will continue and our next game is against Old bar.
