This week, the team were sporting a few injuries and didn't have the pace required to keep pressure up in the forward positions.
The game started promising as Gloucester took early control with a good passing game in the midfield and through the backs but as the play didn't progress much beyond that point with enough consistency, the Sharks quickly started applying more and more importantly pressure on Gloucester's defence.
As the team quickly tired, the Sharks started finding gaps and with ten minutes remaining in the first half, the Panthers let slip an easy play to let in a goal.
The second half started a little slower for both teams, neither making valuable gains in either sides territory with most play happening in the middle.
But as Gloucester continued to wear down, they conceded a short corner which lead to a straight shot cleanly into the goal again with only around ten minutes remaining.
The Sharks were able to hold out and eventually run the clock down to take out the win 2-0.
Gloucester’s next match is this Thursday night against the Taree Tigers hopefully a little more recovered.
