Barrington Tops National Park saw another dusting of snow over the weekend much to the delight of avid snow chasers.

Light snow fell overnight on Friday (July 7) leaving up to two centimetre across the plateau.
Eager snow chasers flocked to the area despite reports the snow was melting and there was icy or slippery road conditions at some locations.
Warning signs for motorists where put up on Barrington Tops Road at Pole Blue and east of Wild Turkey, Moppy on Dilgry Circle and parts of Pheasants Creek Road.
Regular visitors to the area, Andrew Holloway and his family from Lake Macquarie headed up the tops to camp out on Saturday night.
“Camped up at devils last night,” he posted on the Barrington Tops Snow Chasers Facebook page. “Right on que 1730-1900 a great dusting of snow. The kids loved it.”
Sue Pogson and her family from Port Macquarie also headed up the tops to catch a glimpse of the snow, posting their photos on the chasers page.
They travel to Barrington Tops all the time, with this being the fourth or fifth year making the journey.
Visitors to Barrington Tops should be prepared for sub-zero temperatures. If you get stuck or are involved in an accident, help may be several hours away. Always pack additional warm clothing and extra food and water and always tell someone where you are going and when you’ll be back.
During snow events, the status of roads on Barrington Tops can change at short notice or during your visit. NSW Police may close the road at any time to ensure visitor safety. This may prevent access to snow covered areas and result in visitors having to turn back after long periods of travel. Check road closures and conditions before you leave Gloucester or Scone.

Tips on how to stay safe when visiting the snow:
* Leave the two-wheel-drive at home - four-wheel-drives are best suited for driving in snow and ice conditions
* Check weather and road conditions before you leave home and again before you leave Scone or Gloucester
* Leave plenty of time for the return trip in daylight hours: travel time is up to 1.5 hours from Gloucester or Scone
* Pack additional warm clothing and extra food and water
* Tell someone where you’re going and when you’ll be back.
