We will revamp the event and hopefully more members will support it next time around, I'll let you know what the changes will be and when it will be played in the near future.
So, on Saturday members played a stableford event for club trophies. The winners on the day were T Wallington with 34 in A grade, D Mann in B grade with 36 and C grade went to the quickly improving player and best score on the day P Coote with 38pts.
The NTPs went to Wacka in A grade, W Murray in B grade, G Marsh in C grade with the long drive going to D Bardwell. Next week we will be playing a 4 man ambrose for trophies kindly donated by Valley Motors and the following Saturday is the monthly medal/stroke event. On a personal note I would like to thank all those who help me on a regular basis and those who did on Sunday, it was also great to see Terry Ireland and Dave Mann back on the golf course.
Yours in Golf The Shanker.
Ladies golf
Wednesday’s event was a 2BBB Stableford which was sponsored by two of our ladies from Krambach,
Pam Paff and Rhonda Nightingale, thank you both for your sponsorship and we are so glad you joined our club. It was a hard day of golf as some of the greens were almost unplayable, the frosts have made the greens fast and also the pin placements made it almost impossible for the ball to stay on the green.
The winners of the day were Myrelle Fraser and Ev Blanch with 39 points, Myrelle also had the best individual score of 31 points. Runners up were Moyà Harris and Pam Paff with 34 points. Ball comp winners were Ev Blanch and Anne Maggs with 32 points and Kim Arney and Georgie Tisdell with 29 points.
This was Georgie’s first day playing with us so welcome Georgie and it was both Kim and Georgia’s first win, keep up the good work girls. NTP 4th@13th E. Crawley. 6th@15th Moyà Harris. It’s getting close to the MidWinter Open so get your names into Barney if you want to play.
