Ladies Consistency Singles will be played between the old guard Joan Ridgeway and the challenger Judy Sheely.
Mixed Pairs will also be played commencing on the 2nd of September.
Mixed Solo Blind Pairs will hit the green this Sunday and the ‘random’ draw on the day is set to be a special event incorporating both greens and consisting of 3 games of 11 Ends.
Men’s Bowls: Thursday: Winners were Mike Sheely and Tony Tersteeg (20 + 15) and the Runners Up were Harry Cox, Jim Whittaker and John Andrews (16+7).
Mixed Bowls: Saturday: winners were Terry Davies, Clive Redman and Luis Urby (20+20). Women’s Bowls: Wednesday: (Results not known at time of publication).
Minor Singles Championship is to commence on Wednesday August 22.
It was pleasing to see so many of our member’s attend the farewell of Philip Graeme Wilson (JJ) and we pass on our condolences to Jennifer, Timothy, Katherine and the extended Wilson family. JJ will be sorely missed as a member and committee man. He even helped out during his illness, that’s the calibre of the man.
