As well as the Manning Base Hospital, Dr Gayed also worked at Kempsey District Hospital, Grafton Base Hospital, Mona Vale Hospital and Cooma Hospital.
Hunter New England Area Health expects the inquiry to finish on September, 30 and until that time will be issuing no further statements.
“We will let Ms Furness complete her review before commenting further,” a spokesperson from HNEAH said.
Any person who wishes to make a submission to the inquiry may do so by email to gayedreview@health.nsw.gov.au.
If you have any concerns about treatment you have received from Dr Gayed, please call Manning Hospital on 6592 9111.
In a separate review the NSW Medical Council has appointed Ms Furness to undertake a review of the management of complaints about Dr Gayed by the Council.
