The Saturday Gloucester and District Netball Grand Final day was held recently and we were treated to glorious weather and competitive nerve racking games of netball that could have been won by either team playing.

Junior Competition
The grand final match was a thriller between the Black and Green teams. The Green team had a solid start with both shooters starting off strong and consistently adding to the tally. The Black team had a challenge on their hands at half time, being down by 6 goals. All the players fought hard during the game and the Black team mounted a comeback to only be down 3 goals at the 3/4 break. All parents and families looked on nervously as the last quarter progressed with the Green team fighting hard to keep the lead. At the final bell there was only 1 goal separating the team with Green victorious 23-22. A great effort all round girls and thanks to the team coaches as well for coming forward at the start of the season to mentor the younger players. The club appreciates your time and commitment to the players.
