The funkiest fundraiser in Wingham, Groovin’ in the Garden, is growing every year.

After two very successful years, organisers are hoping this year’s ‘mini festival’, taking place at Manning Valley Community Gardens on Saturday, September 15, will be even better.

It certainly is shaping up to be, with at least 35 stalls booked and more bookings coming in.

Popular local stall holders Gaia Natures Essentials, Burn Baby Burn Candle Co, and Tabbiestone Ceramics will be among a great variety of stalls, so bring your wallet.

This year Groovin’ in the Garden is aiming to be as waste free as possible, so bring a reusable coffee cup or, if you forget to bring one, MidCoast Water Services will have some for sale on the day. They are also bringing along a water refill station, so bring your reusable water bottles, as water will not be for sale.

On the stage at 2pm will be El and Taylor. With Taylor's captivating voice and El’s smooth bass skills you'll sure to be entertained with their 60s to today covers. Other performers will be Hudson Rose, Margaret Reu, Peggy van Zalm and more.

The ever popular wood fired pizzas, cooked in the purpose built oven on site, are back. In addition there will be plenty of locally sourced organic food available.

Save the date for a jam packed day of local live music, market stalls, kids activities, arts, and food.

Entry is by gold coin donation and all funds go to the Manning Valley Community Gardens.

The garden’s main purpose is to support the Manning Valley Neighbourhood Services’ Food from the Heart program, which provides free nutritious meals at lunchtime on Mondays at the old Courthouse to people in need in the community. In addition, produce can be used in food parcels given to clients

Groovin’ in the Garden will run from 10am to 4pm. The gardens are behind the Old Courthouse, 4 Farquhar Street, Wingham.
