There may be a few additional aircraft flying over town this weekend as the Gloucester Aero Club gets ready to host its annual Fly In and Bonfire.

The event, running on Saturday November 10 and Sunday November 11, is open to anyone with a plane looking for a night out in Gloucester. Attendees gather for a feed, some time with friends and a little roasting of marshmallows over an open fire.
Event organiser, Andrew Edwards said the event is highly weather dependent, but if the conditions are right, they should see a decent turn out.
“It’s always a busy day for the club if the weather is fine,” Andrew explained.
“We’ll have a range of aircraft and pilots visiting from around NSW.
“Aircraft will be arriving from around mid morning Saturday and some pilots staying the night.
“It’s an opportunity for people to get together with their aircraft and catch up.”
The event has been running for around 10 years and has seen a variety of light, single engined aircraft, ultralights and gyrocopters visit Gloucester in that time.
Gloucester residents, with without their own aircraft, are welcome to come by the club and have a look.
