Last week, an excellent field of 28 players played an individual stableford competition for a trophy kindly donated by a former golfer, Charlie Faulkner. We were joined by Ron and Darelle Rowe from Nelson Bay, they were in Gloucester enjoying the trophy of accommodation they won at this years week of golf tournament.
It was a week of excellent scoring, with nearly a quarter of the field playing to, or better than their handicap. The best score was Jim Dunn with 43 points, followed by Chris Pritchard 42, Denver Webb and Derek Bardwell 41, Sally Higgins and Bob Kirkup 38, Graham Hjorth 37 and Dale Rabbett 36. Nearest the pins went to John Herd and Elaine Murray on 4/13 and to Peter Buettel on 6/15.
