Gloucester VIEW Club held its annual Christmas luncheon with several out of town guests making the journey to help celebrate.
Around 70 women gathered at the Gloucester Soldiers Club for a festival meal on Tuesday November 20, with nearby VIEW Club members travelling in for the event. Members from Maitland, Cessnock, Taree and Forster/Tuncurry Day took up the annual invite to join their fellow zone club ladies for a festive feast.
Part of the event included the formal bits with the final meeting of the year included in the afternoon, as well as a few raffles to help raise funds for the VIEW Club causes including its Smith Family Learning for Life students.
The ladies aren’t due for another gathering until early February before commencing their regular luncheons throughout the year. Gloucester VIEW Club was formed in 1989 and is actively involved in fundraising activities to raise donations for The Smith Family programs. The club is always open to new members and meet on third Tuesday of the month at 11am for 11.30am at Uniting Church Gloucester.
