MidCoast Council is seeking the support of the wider community as it seeks nominations for five community reference groups.
These reference groups will offer assistance and support in the five key areas of economic development, tourism, wellbeing, heritage and sport.
Anyone is welcome to nominate themselves to become a member and each committee will be guided by its own terms of reference and guidelines.
If you have a particular interest in one of the groups, council’s website has more information and the nomination forms.
- Economic Development Working Group will provide specialist advice to council about the growth and development of the Mid Coast economy and local employment opportunities.
- Barrington Coast Destination Management Reference Group is to provide guidance, support and advocacy to ensure the successful delivery of the outcomes detailed in the MidCoast Destination Management Plan and associated documents.
- Community Inclusion and Wellbeing Reference Group will give strategic advice and feedback to assist council in making the Mid Coast an accessible, inclusive and cohesive community.
- Heritage Reference Group will aid in the protection and promotion of our local heritage
