The carnival was held in Wauchope on Saturday November 17 and Sunday November 18 and was a great success all round.
The under 7 boys that represented our club were a standout.
Even those these athletes are unable to progress to the regional carnival, that didn’t stop them performing at their best in the track and field events.
Bradley Watt, William Coombe and Jarrah Baker all came home with medals hanging around their neck. Well done boys.
Our club was proud of the results with personal best times smashed and the athletes displaying excellent sportsmanship to other competitors.
Of special mention is William Coombe, who ran a very fast 70 metre sprint final to set a new Mid North Coast Zone record with a time of 11.2 seconds.
Another of our club athletes to set a new zone record was Marley Young who also excelled in the 70 metre sprint to set a new record of 9.7 seconds in the under 10 girls age group.
A commendable effort to both Marley and William.
The results over the two day carnival will see all athletes that attended (with the exception of the under 7 age group) progress to the regional carnival to be held early February at Glendale.
Competitors need to finish in the top four placing's during the event and our club came away with 21 finishing in a first place position, 21 second places, 18 third places and 15 fourth place results.
Our club was proud of the results with personal best times smashed and the athletes displaying excellent sportsmanship to other competitors.
