It’s been a tradition for the past 15 years.
Gloucester Breast Cancer Support Group has been holding Christmas lunches for quite some time and this year is no exception.
Members and guests gathered the CWA hall for some fabulous food and an afternoon with friends on Monday, December 3.
The event was catered for by the Gloucester Country Women’s Association’s Evening branch as it has been since its inception.
“We used to have the lunch at a CWA member’s home,” Gloucester Breast Cancer Support Group president Diana Rosenbaum said. “But then (the lunch) got too big, so we moved to the hall.”
It’s a bit of a social afternoon, filled with raffles prizes and secret Santa. This year’s raffle prizes came from Brian McIntosh, known for his jewellery making and Ann Vale, who knitted a beautiful nativity scene.
It’s the group’s last meeting until February 2019.
