Gloucester Veterans Trophy day
On Saturday members played a stableford event for trophies kindly supplied by the veterans of our club, it was great to see the vets out there on Saturday to help celebrate the day.

The winners on the day were in A grade R Crichton, a vet himself, with a great 40 pts, B grade went to B Osborne with 36 pts, C grade was won by P Coote with 39 pts and the ladies was won by E Murray with 38. The ball comp went down to 33 pts on a countback. The NTPs went to S MacDonald in A grade, J Herd in B grade, G Randall in C grade with B Newman winning the long drive and S Burns had the best 2nd shot. This weekend coming is the annual Christmas Cheer day with good ham prizes being on offer for the day. The following weekend will be a stableford event for trophies kindly supplied by the Gloucester Soldiers Club.
Congratulations must go to Paul Blanch and Brendon Murray for their efforts on Saturday completing 72 holes on the day in support of cancer relief, well done the pair of you.
Thanks must go to Greg West, Paul Wenham, Mark Howland and Rob Kirkup for their help in erecting the new cart shed, which hopefully will be operational before Christmas.

Ladies golf
The cooler day attracted the biggest field for the summer competition so far, it was good to see so many of the regular players on the course. The winner of the day was a regular visitor to our club, Sue Munro who had 28 points. Ball competition winners were Annette Cravino 24 points, Myrelle Fraser 23 points, Moyà Harris 22 and also with 22 point was Ann Mullen. NTP 4th@13th Jill Carson 6th@15th Kim Arney. The year has almost finished we will advise you when Golf will commence again in 2019.
Veterans
The veterans played for a trophy kindly donated by David and Penny Mitchell, both of whom were able to make it to the presentation.
The winner was Phil Hawkins with another good score of 42 points. Three players were runners up on 38 points, Chris Pritchard, Joost Werz and Col Roser followed by Mark Stone on 37. Peter Buettel was nearest the pin on the 4/13th and Col Roser got the ball on the 6/15th. Bert Newman was a worthy winner of the stayers award.
