Community groups with initiatives that make a positive difference to the community are being encouraged to apply for funding support in the next round of Yancoal Australia’s Community Support Program.

The Yancoal Community Support Program provides funding to community groups working in the areas of health, social and community, environment, education and training.
Stratford and Duralie Coal Operations manager, John Cullen encouraged locals to raise their hand for assistance by applying for funding.
“Via our Community Support Program, Stratford and Duralie Coal have the opportunity to assist those locally-focused programs and initiatives capable of making a real contribution to the continued growth and sustainability of the region,” Mr Cullen said.
“In the past, Yancoal funding has enabled the development and implementation of environmental projects, education, training and employment assistance initiatives, sponsorship of key community events, the purchase of much needed equipment and helped support disadvantaged groups within the community.
“A lot of fantastic work has been done by our community support program recipients to date and it’s great to see the positive impact they have made to our community.”
