During a speaking tour in Australia, through The Leprosy Mission Australia, he will stop by Gloucester to share his story.
At age seven, after being diagnosed with leprosy, he was banned from his school and his family in the Kathmandu Valley, Nepal. Eventually, he ended up at Anandaban Hospital, around 16 kilometres from Kathmandu city, where a holistic approach is taken to cure and care for people affected by leprosy.
Now, Kashi teaches self care to people affected by the disease at the hospital where he continues to live in staff quarters with his family.
To hear his story and to help raise awareness about leprosy, come to an evening at the Gloucester Baptist Church at 42 Denison Street on Monday, January 21 from 6pm. Cost of admission is $10 and includes dinner. For more information contact Gordon or Colleen on 0408 061 708 or Colin on 0409 740 846.
There will be Leprosy Mission merchandise available for sale at the event.
