Australia Day 2019 celebrations will begin this Saturday at Billabong Park from 8am with an Aussie barbecue breakfast prepared by Gloucester community organisations CWA, Quota, Lions and Rotary clubs.
A gold coin donation will be appreciated.
The ceremony will begin at 9am with Welcome to Country followed by the raising of the flag.
Key note addresses will be delivered by 2019 ambassador Brett Stibners OAM and MidCoast Council Deputy Mayor Katheryn Smith.
Awards will be handed out to recognise the great achievers in our community.
Gloucester High School students will perform at the ceremony.
Free flags, tattoos and morning tea will be available while colouring in competition entries will be on display.
In case of wet weather, celebrations will be held at the Recreation Centre.
To cool off in the afternoon, enjoy free entry to Gloucester pool from 2pm to 7pm.
In what will surely delight all children, Magic Jake will present his show ‘Abra-KID-abra at the pool.
