Men’s Club Championship Minor Singles Quarter Finals

The cream rose to the top, with some really good ends. Mathew Higgins had a win over George Wisemantel, Tony Tersteeg over Bob Jones and Terry Davies over Mike Sheely.

Vic Hebblewhite v’s Nev Atkins re-scheduled for Tuesday morning.

Well done gentleman with the Semi Finals scheduled for 9.30 Sunday  February 10.

Men’s Bowls: Thursday: Winners were Terry Carson and Tony Tersteeg (21 + 29). No Runner Up due to the low number of starters due to the heat.

Mixed Bowls: Saturday: Winners were Chris Pritchard, Kerry green and Neville Atkins (19+7) and the runners up were Col Beattie, Terry Davies and John Andrews (18 + 9)

Women’s Bowls: Wednesday: Last week the ladies only played 12 ends as the temperature started to rise, which was quite enough for the sixteen who braved the high humidity! Today is the start of the singles championship with four games being played between Judy Sheely and Dianna Lockwood, Colleen Atkins and Del Buckton, Lorraine Ratcliffe and Valda Tilse and Kerrie Green and Bev Murray. Good luck to everyone. Last Tuesday two teams played at Taree Leagues in an over 60s District tournament. Although neither team managed to get through to the next round, it was an enjoyable day and gave valuable experience of playing in the strong wind, which we might come up against in the up-coming pennant season.

The Special General Meeting is at 9am on February 24. This is an important meeting re the ‘proposed’ renovations to our club…we encourage you to be there.
