Award entries will be open for an extended period, from Friday March 1 to the close of business Friday, June 21 and the categories are: Outstanding Business Leader, Excellence in Business, Excellence in Customer Service, Trades and Construction, Health and Wellbeing, Tourism and Hospitality, Best Start Up, Excellence in Professional Services and Excellence in Retail Services. Multiple entries are allowed.
The general public will be able to vote for their favourite businesses in the ever-popular People’s Choice Award, which will accept votes on the business awards website and via printed forms available at businesses across the region.
In addition, awards for Business of the Year, Runner up Business of the Year, Hall of Fame and Community Service award will be awarded.
MidCoast Business Chamber Awards sub-committee spokesperson, Jenny Ashton said entering the business awards is not just good for a business’s image and networking opportunities, but it’s a great business development and planning tool. “It allows in-depth reflection of where you’ve been with the business and where you’re heading.”
The awards ceremony, on Saturday, August 17 at Tuncurry Bowling Club, is an annual social highlight for the Mid Coast business communities.
