Whether you are a year 12 student or their parents, there is help available.
HSC in the Holidays and the University of Newcastle are running a series of subject-specific seminars on Sunday March 3 to help prepare both parents and students for the year ahead.
Presented by highly experienced HSC markers and teachers, these Kickstart Seminars will give students a detailed understanding of what HSC markers are looking for, strategies for success, key syllabus content and much more. Throughout the day, subjects offered for students will include English (Common Paper, Standard and Advanced) and Mathematics (Standard and Advanced). Each session is $20
And for the first time ever, the program will include a Parent Seminar for parents of students in year 10, 11 or 12. This free session will cover effective parenting strategies, managing workloads, maintaining motivation and the HSC process itself.
HSC in the Holidays Director, Shane Hardcastle said the program is like no other.
"As exam markers, the insight that our experts can give into the HSC process is unmatched. As year 12 students and their parents prepare for the big year ahead, they’re bound to be anxious about what’s to come."
The seminars run for two hours each and will be held at the University of Newcastle.
Registrations are essential.
