Gloucester Rural Supplies faced significant competition from the other finalists in NSW but took out the title to be crowned best in state.
The store won the award after consistently delivering outstanding service and performance throughout 2018.
“Their continued success and outstanding performance is a true representation of the high standards which manager Troy Higgins upholds every day.
"Their reputation within their community and also within the CRT group is something to be admired,” explained Greg O’Neil, Executive General Manager for the CRT network.
CRT NSW State Manager Tim Doolan said it is no surprise that Gloucester Rural Supplies had taken out the top award.
“Always striving to achieve the best results for their customers, suppliers and themselves, the CRT community know that Gloucester Rural Supplies continue to deliver for all stakeholders.
"Their level of professionalism and reputation within the community and the CRT group needs to be recognised,” Mr Doolan said.
Troy Higgins, Manager of Gloucester Rural Supplies, spoke of the efforts of his team in securing the award.
“Everyone here at Gloucester Rural Supplies has worked extremely hard to ensure we provide the best possible service not only to our valued customers but also the wider community.
"Our business has continually adapted to ensure we have the latest products and best expertise to suit their every need,” Mr Higgins said.
While they have consistently appeared as finalists over the years, Mr Higgins was surprised by winning the top award.
“Knowing how many fantastic CRT businesses there are across NSW, we are really honoured to have taken out this award.
"I am extremely happy with the team’s efforts and what we have achieved,” said Mr. Higgins said.
Mark Slater, General Manager of the Co-Op in Colac, Victoria, said being crowned last year had paid great dividends for his local business.
“Winning the award was great recognition,” Mr Slater said. “We’ve had a lot of great feedback from our customers and suppliers and it has given us a massive boost within our community.”
