The attendees ranged in age from five to 59 and everyone enjoyed a really well organised country picnic carnival which was run by the Gloucester Thunderbolts Swimming Club.
The weather was perfect and most swimmers managed to take home a medal.
The most exciting races, of course, being the relays at the end of the day.
Stroud Seals have six relay teams and all attendees were able to participate in a events at the carnival.
David Kemp swam in the 50 metre freestyle, 50m breaststroke, 100m breastroke, 100m freestyle and had a very successful carnival.
His most significant achievement however, was as part of the senior relay team.
The team had a comfortable win over a very competitive Dungog Dolphins, which contained the formidable McCormick team of Jule and Hamish.
However, Dave Kemp from Stroud was the anchor swimmer and powered his way to a comfortable finish.
