Kevin 'Bloody' Wilson has been taking his Aussie 'politically incorrect' humour to audiences for the past 35 years and he will soon be in Gloucester.
As part of his current 'F.U.P.C Tour 2019, which is due to last up to two and a half years, Kevin will be taking to the stage at the Gloucester Soldiers Club on Sunday April 7.
Although he's not quite sure if he's been here before, he's pretty sure he remembers the Gloucester Soldiers Club.
"When you been touring for 35 years, it's hard to remember all the places you've been," Kevin laughed at himself.
'Taking the piss' is all part of his act. It's all about learning to laugh at the world through his mix of stand up comedy and humourous melodies.
"And to get people to laugh at things that they aren't supposed to laugh at," he said.
Over the years, Kevin has taken his act around Australia and across the globe, covering almost every English speaking country in the world. He can be found performing in anything from outback pub to a major stadium. But no matter how popular he gets, there will always be country towns listed on his tour dossier.
Hailing from the Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, we knows how country towns miss out on big name acts, so he always makes sure he stops by the regional towns.
"I do country areas, cause I'm from a country area," he said. "I know what it's like to see the airplane with the big name act flight over head, straight to the big city."
He also loves the contrast of spending time in regional areas.
"The people are different. It's more relaxed. More scenic. More fun."
Fun is very important to Kevin, ensuring he does just the right amount of gigs so it's not a chore, and not doing the same line up twice. With 20 albums under his belt, Kevin has a vast repertoire of songs to choose from making each performance unique.
During his show at Gloucester, Kevin will be joined by special guest, Jenny Talia. Tickets cost $55 per person and can be purchased at the club's main bar or online at https://www.trybooking.com/BBGHF. The show kicks off at 7pm on Sunday April 7.
