Around 150 people turned out for Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service Gloucester Support Group's St Patricia's Day Trivia Night on Saturday March 16 at Gloucester BowlingClub.
Not only did the competitors have a great time, the evening raised $2,000 for the service.
The trivia night is one of the four annual fundraisers the Gloucester support group holds to raise funds for a service that has helped many Gloucester region residents.
Next up in the fundraiser calendar is an evening with The Bowden Brothers at the Gloucester Soldiers Club on April 27 from 7pm. Tickets costs $25 per person and can be purchased at Gloucester Health Foods.
Later in the year, the organisation will be holding its Dinner Auction in September and Barefoot Bowls Toy Raffle in November ahead of Christmas.
Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service
It's known as the community's own rescue helicopter. No one has ever had to pay to be assisted by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service, and that is because people in communities, along with the NSW Government, through NSW Health and NSW Ambulance, provide the funds to ensure the rescue helicopters are there when, and where, they are needed.
