Residents in the Gloucester region may have noticed that the mobile phone network has been a bit patchy since Sunday night (March 24).

According to the Telstra Network website, a technical issue began just before 10pm on Sunday and is continuing.
"Customers may experience difficulties making and receiving calls or using data via their mobile service," the website states.
The issues is affecting three sections of the network which covers most of Gloucester and areas to the south, as well as most of Barrington and areas to the north.
Telstra has indicated the outage is currently under investigation with no expected time of restoration available at the time of publication.
The Gloucester and Dungog region experienced a supercell cluster of thunderstorms Sunday evening. According to Weatherzone, between 6pm and 10pm, 37,000 lightning strikes were recorded within a 50 kilometre radius of Gloucester.
