Saturday's program is set to be even fuller with a long list of judging activities taking place in the show ring with the horse events, including a bit of showjumping, in both the beef and dairy pavilions with the cattle events and the Junior Showgirl competition.
Livestock
There are categories for Guernsey, Illawarra, Holstein Fresian, Jersey and Ayrshire breeds in the Dairy Category; and for Beef Cattle, there are 13 Sections to be judged.
Perhaps one of the more interesting sections is the "Group" Sections where three or five animals are selected for judging by the breeder.
Livestock judging starts on Friday at 8.00am for Registered Australian stock horses.
On Friday at 9.30am judging will take place of Junior Beef Cattle. Prime Cattle will be at 10.00am.
On Saturday, judging will start at 7.30am with Breed Led Classes.
Always a crowd pleaser, dressage will begin at 10.00am until 1.00pm on Saturday.
Check out the Exhibits
The show has a large number of entries in the junior sections of the pavilion competitions. Whether it be cooking or growing produce, creating handicraft or works of art, every category has a junior section.
There will be a huge range of exhibits showcasing the diverse capabilities of our local people. The exhibits include farm and garden produce, fruit, jams, flowers and plants, fine arts, handicrafts, photography and wine and spirits.
Reptile Show
Get up close and personal with a few snakes and lizards at the reptile display, and maybe get a chance to pat one of the cold blood animals.
Here the kids can learn what to do if confronted by a wild snake, ways to keep snakes off your property and how to save your life from a snake bite
The show is on both Friday and Saturday.
Aussie FMX - Saturday night
Come and see some of the country's top Freestyle Motocross riders in action, as they turn themselves inside out and upside down while flying 75 feet through the air.
These death-defying athletes perform some of the biggest stunts in action sports, including the famous 'Backflip'.
Delicious Food
All day while the show is open, The Gloucester Show Society Ladies Auxiliary will be serving up delicious fare for morning and afternoon tea, lunch and dinner as well as tea, coffee, soft drinks and sandwiches.
From the BBQ Pit, you can savour steak sandwiches, egg and bacon rolls and more. Refreshments are also available at the bar.
