It's finally here. Gloucester Show takes places on Friday April 5 and Saturday April 6 at the Gloucester Showground. It's a fun-filled family-friendly weekend full of lots of activities.
All weekend
- Gloucester Show, Friday and Saturday at Gloucester Showground, Produce and Livestock judging on Friday from 8am while Saturday (the main show day) starting around 7.30am with ring events, entertainment, the demolition derby and fireworks. The official opening and grand parade is at 2.30pm Saturday.
- Art exhibitions at Manning Regional Art Gallery, Macquarie Street, Taree. NSW Youth Week Youth Photography Exhibition, Into the Wild - Exploring the Past by Peter Schouten, Paradise of Waters, Movements and Impermanence by Angela Tay and Jennifer Catt. Gallery hours are Wednesday to Saturday 10am to 4pm and Sunday 1pm to 4pm.
- 'Gone Painting' Art Exhibition, a retrospective exhibition of Jean Spokes art, at Gloucester Gallery. Gallery hours, Thursday to Saturday 10am to 4pm, Sunday 10am to 1pm. Monday to Wednesday please call ahead: 0425 203 877.
- Goldman Brothers Adventure Run, a two-day off-road running or walking marathon, Saturday and Sunday at various locations in the Smiths Lake and Seal Rocks areas.
Friday
- 'Less is More' declutter workshop, 10.30am to 12.30pm at Hallidays Point Library. Register at midcoastlibraries.com.au
- Tots Tours, 11.15am to noon at the Manning Regional Art Gallery. Art engagement for under 5s with their parents or carers.
- Preschool Storytime, 10.30am to 11.30am at Hallidays Point Library, Village Shopping Centre.

- First Friday Flicks, 'Book Club' showing from 2pm at Tea Gardens Library in Marine Drive, Tea Gardens.

- Wingham Farmers Market, 8am to noon at the Wingham Showground
- Tea Gardens Farmers Market, 8am to noon at Tea Gardens Public School.
- Taree parkrun, 8am from Endeavour Place, Taree.
- Manning Valley Race club meeting, Bushland Drive Racecourse, first race 1.23pm.
- Forster parkrun, 8am, starts and finishes at Pebbly Beach playground.
- Art Central, 10.30am to noon at the Manning Regional Art Gallery, Macquarie Street, Taree. Children (six to 12 year olds) engage with a wide range of materials and techniques with our experienced educators. Cost $15, bookings essential.
- The Quota Club of Taree presents the Margo's autumn fashion parade, 1.30pm to 4pm at the Manning Regional Art Gallery. Tickets $20, from Margo's Boutique in Taree's Centrepoint Arcade, or phone Nancy on 0407 585 526. Fundraiser for Epilepsy Action Australia.
- Manning Valley Netball season opening, Taree Recreation Centre, 9am.
- The Black Head Anti Cancer Bash, 2pm to 10pm at the Black Head Surf Club. A fun family event to raise money for vital cancer research projects, organised in collaboration with the Jindaboonda Postie Trek. Gold coin entry (and a cover charge from 6pm).
- Club Taree Community Band, presents the fundraising concert To Zambia with Love, at The Salvation Army Hall from 2pm to 6pm, entry a 'plastic' note. Afternoon tea and silent auction.
- Like a Rhinestone Cowboy, featuring Darren Coggan, from 8am at the Manning Entertainment Centre.
