Have a look at Landcare's restoration of the northern boundary of the hall precinct. There has been extensive work removing camphor laurels which are a declared noxious weed/tree and replacing them with a variety of native species with great success. This is an ongoing Landcare project with the local group having two or three working bees a year. Landcare members will be available to discuss and walk you through this project which showcases local Landcare involvement in the Cedar Party and Killabakh locality.
Morning tea will be available for purchase from 10am to 12, with funds going to Landcare, and picnic facilities are available in this picturesque location. Tours will be available until 3pm.
There will also be items for sale from Wormbiz - worm farm starter boxes and worm castings for your garden.
Site 3. Harrisons 1795 Comboyne Road (opposite Alfred Road).
Drive up, as parking is in the paddock. This is a small farm with a large, productive, innovative organic vegetable garden built on permaculture design principles.
