Returning to the show after a long absence was the junior showjumping, which proved to be extremely popular. Thanks to Leanne Anderson and her band of workers for organising this section of the ring events with such excellent results.
The Aussie FMX action and the reptile and bee displays were a big hit with show-goers, as were the animal nursery and the kids' farm challenge. The post splitting and tent pegging events were popular additions this year, while the ever-popular pavilion exhibits, market stalls and displays of old machinery and motors, tractors and classic cars were very well received.
Of course, the demolition derby is always a popular attraction and provided excellent entertainment once again on Saturday night. A big thank you to Josh James for organising this event. The fireworks display, sponsored by Stratford Coal, rounded out the evening ring entertainment while vocalist, Brendan Harvey had the crowd dancing and singing along to his wide repertoire of songs until closing time.
A great big 'thank you' to the many generous sponsors, community groups and volunteers who support the show each year and, without whose help, the committee would not be able to stage the event. Thank you to the hard-working committee members for their efforts before and during the show. A job well done!
