Hosted by MidCoast Council's economic development team, the sessions will cover topics including how to prepare quotations and tenders for council business.
The first session of the free two-part workshops will be held in Taree and Forster, but not in Gloucester.
According to council's Economic Development Coordinator, Robyn Brennan council is funding the consultant to visit the region for two days only.
"Holding the two sessions in our major population centres ensures the best outcomes for attendance and networking opportunities," Ms Brennan said. "We encourage all Mid Coast businesses who feel they would benefit from the free tender and procurement workshops to attend in either Taree or Forster."
The workshops will be held at the council chambers in Taree on Tuesday May 7 and in Forster on Wednesday May 8, both running from 5.30-8pm. Spaces are limited and registration to attend is required.
"Preparing quotations and tenders for council business can open up valuable growth opportunities for businesses of all types and sizes, economic development co-ordinator," Ms Brennan said.
"For many businesses, understanding where to start, identifying relevant and realistic opportunities, and completing the documentation can be daunting."

The workshops are designed to support local businesses improve their capacity to supply goods and services for the many and varied projects council puts out to market each year, and provide important insights into council's procurement processes and policy.
"We appreciate the process is specific and can sometimes seem quite complex, so in our first workshop attendees will come away with the knowledge and confidence to put their businesses forward as a prospective supplier," she explained.
The first workshop will focus on opportunities to do business with council, developing relationships and effective communication, how to read quotation and tender documentation, establishing and communicating selling proposition and how to write effectively when responding to a request for quotation or tender.
Follow-up workshops will take place later this year.
