Gloucester Arts and Cultural Council (GACCI)'s competition is open to everyone, whether you are just starting out or have been taking photos for years, whether your young or more mature.
Organisers are encouraging everyone to capture intriguing and engaging images of Gloucester and beyond.
Entries are now open for both the junior and senior sections, with entry forms to be submitted no later than 5pm on Friday July 5. Cost per entry is $15 for seniors and $5 for juniors. Framed photographs, ready for hanging (as per instructions on the entry form) are to be delivered to the Gloucester Gallery on July 16 between 10am and 4pm.
The photo subject matter can be from the Gloucester region or beyond for most categories, must have been taken in the last two years and have not been exhibited in the Gloucester Gallery or any other gallery within a 200km radius, for example the Gloucester Show.
Winners of the $1500 prize pool will be announced on the opening night of the exhibition on Friday, July 19 at the Gloucester Gallery from 7pm. All entries will remain on display in the Gloucester Gallery until August 11.
2019 categories: Junior section (under 18 years) open genre; Senior section which includes; Faces I have Met, The Lie of the Land (must be of the Gloucester area), The Natural Environment, Man Made, Not your Normal photo and Absence of Colour.
