Around 200 people attended the annual event hosted by the Gloucester Sport Committee held at the Gloucester Soldiers Club on Saturday May 11.
The event is an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of Gloucester's athletes from the 2018 season, as well as recognised those have a long history with sport.
Anthony Zanos from 2RE returned as the long standing Master of Ceremonies keeping the event running smoothly and a close eye on night's footy scores.
This year's original guest speaker, Kate Jenner was called away to represent Australia in women's hockey and her replacement was Judith Laing, a highly qualified hockey coach and distinguished representative player in both hockey and cricket. She gave the group a quick background about Kate before talking about the trials and tribulations of competitive sport, mainly about her experience of not being selected.
