2019 Club Championships
On Saturday members played the third and final round of the club Championships proudly sponsored by the Golf Club.

The daily winners were T Rumble in A grade with 72 nettt, D Blanch in B grade with 74 nettt and W Mansfield in C grade with 78 nettt on a countback. The NTPs on the day went to B Veitch in A grade, Hairy in B grade, T Yates in C grade and the long drive was won by W Murray. Now to the championships with the club champion for 2019 being Jamie Andrews with a gross score of 232, 3 strokes in front of Phil Bowden, who apparently had a fantastic front 9 to put the pressure on Emu, however he prevailed and took the win, well done Emu. B grade went to Matt Groves with 283 gross with Tom Dare a further 5 strokes behind, it was a battle of who could outlast the other. C grade went to Rick Paff with 301 gross from Bert Newman on 319, Rick played to consistently to allow anyone else a look in winning by the biggest margin of 18 strokes.
The nettt champions were Phil Bowden in A grade with 229 nettt, Paul Garland in B grade with 237 nettt and Kev Arney in C grade 239 nettt. Once again another successful championships has been completed but not without the help of a lot of people, thanks to Rossi for presenting the course in such good condition in trying climatic conditions. To Kay and Dave thanks for all your help now and throughout the year and Doug and Phil who helped me with the cards throughout the championships.

Ladies Par Event
Sandy Mason was the sponsor of Wednesday's Par event, our thanks to Sandy for her sponsorship and we miss having your smiling face at golf each week.
Moya Harris was the winner of the day with a score of -1. Moya has been in the winners circle a lot lately, she must be getting used to Gloucester course now. Ball competition winners were, Dale Rabbett-4, Myrelle Fraser, Pam Paff and Val Smith all on -5. NTP 4th/13th, Dale Rabbett and Kim Arney won NTP on the 6th/15th.
Next week's event is a Stableford sponsored by Gloucester Town and Country.
Sunday is the Mixed Classic, we have a big field and lots of hungry people to feed, so ladies don't forget to bring a cake or slice for afternoon tea.
Veterans
Two Person Ambrose Pink Day
Today's Pink competition was sponsored by Sally Higgins and Dale Rabbett. The run away winners on the day were husband and wife Roy and Joyce Crichton on 62.5 nettt. Runners up were Dale Rabbett and Bill Murray on 71.5, followed up by newcomer Bob Newett and Peter Buettel on 73, then Bert Newman and Meg O'Day, and Denver Webb and Johanne Ware all on 73.5. Nearest the pins were Dale Rabbett and Denver Webb on 4/13, and Roy Crichton on 6/15. Stayers award were Elaine Murray and Di Relf. A reminder that next week sees the annual Veterans' Week of Golf.
