Drifta 16's Scorpions outplay Jets
Great teamwork and performance by Drifta dominated the first half and proved too strong for the Cundletown Jets on Saturday June 1 at the Jets field.

Cody Howard's powerful strike was unable to be saved by the Jets' keeper, while a great corner cross from Beau Blanch provided a prefect opportunity for Kayden Schumann to take their keeper by surprise with a brilliant header into goals.
A great through ball from Aiden Coombes to Kayden Schumann had him hitting the net yet again. Moments before the half time whistle, Aiden Coombes made a solo run down the sideline, shooting diagonally from outside the box, with their keeper unable to get a touch to it. Jackson Scanlons never give up attitude in defence, along with Tristyn Beard and Isaac McClure kept Drifta with a clean sheet. Drifta came home with a comfortable 4-0 win, retaining their 3rd place on the ladder.
Drifta's next game is at home against competition leaders Tuncurry Black at 10.40am Saturday June 15.
Gloucester Soldiers defeated by Warriors
Wingham Warriors fast-paced wingers started out strong in attack against the Gloucester Men's Soldiers Club soccer team on Saturday June 1 at the Warriors field.
Goalkeeper Daniel Hughes had an outstanding game as he faced plenty of action from their attackers throughout the game, while the game remained scoreless for the first 25 minutes. Frank Ostlund and Owen Tomlinson had a few breakaways, only to have Winghams defence shut them down.
During the second half, defender Andrew Hughes chased down their attacker and gave a great tackle on the edge of the box, while newcomer Baily Ballantine placed Gloucester on the scoreboard, however Wingham proved too strong on the day with a comfortable 6-1 outcome.
Men's have a break over the long weekend, so their next game is at Tinonee against the Tinonee Eagles kicking off at 3pm on Saturday June 15.
Calco Division 4
Bucketts Building Supplies v Barrington Trophies - A super effort from all the team. Bodhi was amazing with keeping the ball moving near the goals with great support from Ewan and Finley. Chloe was in charge at the back with strong defence leading the way for MJ and Sebastian. Hunter had a great return with strong support in the middle.
Darrels Gourmet Butchery v Gloucester Community Shop - The Darrel's gold team are playing with a great attitude and spirit. Riley made some big tackles and Sami was a great encourager to all her team mates. We didn't find the back of the net today but it didn't dampen our spirits at all. Community Shop are showing great teamwork and improvement with their skills. They worked well together and encouraged their each other throughout the game.
Ollies Service Centre v Gloucester Home Improvement Services - Ollies showed great teamwork and had a great game. Gloucester Home Improvements had a very good game but they fell short at the end. There was lots of hard work and defence from Mitchell, also great attacking from Jake, Luca, and Rosemary. Charlie and Daisy are getting more and more confident every week.
Bucketts Building Supplies Division 3
BlueLight vs Annie McKee - BlueLight played well as a team today well done to Toby and Kyan for scoring blues goals! Annie McKee great game by the whole team excellent game by Taj good goal saving by Lincoln and jack! Aiden played a great defensive game! What a goal Aiden!! BlueLight 5 Annie McKee 3.
Medico vs CarWash - Medico passing was fantastic!! The kids are starting to work together as a team! Heidi was great in defence and the team was full of enthusiasm! CarWash- Bradley put CarWash on the scoreboard just before 1/2 time, Maisie and Amos held great defence, beautiful goal scoring by Hudson and Brodie! Hudson's skills scored a goal just inside right post! Final score Medico 8 CarWash 3.
Community Shop vs Water and Tipper - Another great team effort by Community Shop! Great passing and defence by the entire team!! Water and Tippers game was all about defence! The team did very well defending against a great attacking team! Riley did a particularly good job of goaly! Stopping many possible goal attempts! Well done everyone. Final score Community Shop 8, Water and Tipper 1.
Gloucester Community Shop Division 2
Gloucester Community Shop v Gloucester Soldiers Club - Community Shop had a great game with a full team. Thomas Coombe and Rory Gambrill ran their legs off. Gloucester Soldiers Club played well with a full team also showing great defence. Final score 5 - 0 to Community Shop.
Gloucester Tax and Accounting v Avon Valley Concreting - Gloucester Tax And Accountings Ruben and Alicia scored great goals, a deflect by Archie made for a nail biter. Avon Valley Concreting had a great game , everyone put in a big effort, Asher scoring their three goals, one, a massive kick ! Blake had a great game, Ruben set up a great goal with Alicia finishing it off. Final score 5 - 3 to Gloucester Tax and Accounting.
Gloucester BlueLight v Woolworths Gloucester - Bradley and Xavier worked well for Woolworths. Georgia scored her first goal of the season.. Hayley played well as goal keeper. For BlueLight, Albie was fantastic in goals and made many excellent saves. Jack was fantastic in defence. Andrew and Shannon worked well together in attack. Melia and Maya were tireless all over the park.
Gloucester Bluelight Division 1
Bucketts Building Supplies v Accommodation Gloucester - It was a quick and agile game, Accommodation Gloucester played well with 5 players. Scoring freely in both halves. Bethany was excellent up front and Bree and Chloe defended well for Bucketts Building. Dylan, Jake and Bethany scoring Accommodation Gloucesters goals. James and Cameron scoring one a piece for Bucketts Building. Final score 11 - 2 to Accommodation Gloucester.
Autolec v Gloucester Community Shop - Great work by both teams. Community Shop showed awesome teamwork, great goals from James, Josh and Jyah. Autolec, again short players did the best they could, Paula had a great game in goals again. Sam and Emily had some great runs in the mid field.
