Ladies golf - Monthly medal No4

A beautiful warm day greeted the ladies on Wednesday for the 4th Monthly Medal Round which was sponsored by Jill Carson and Angela Sampson, thank you ladies for sponsoring the day and it was great to have Angela and her daughter join us for presentation.

Angela is always welcome as she comes with afternoon tea for us and this year it was a lovely carrot cake, thanks Angela, we really appreciate you. The winner of the day was Val Smith with 35 points, Val is on a hot streak, congratulations. Runner up was Alison Windeyer who is also playing well with34 points. Ball winners were Ev Blanch 33, Myrelle Fraser also with 33 points, Kim Arney and Cheryl Goodrich both with 32 points. NTP 4th@13th Rhonda Nightingale, 6th@15th Div,1 Ev Blanch Div, 2 Pam Paff.

Veterans - Bill & Anne Norris Trophy

The Veterans played a 4ball best ball stableford competition for the trophy kindly donated this week by Bill and Anne Norris. The winners were Bruce Fraser and Ian Maggs with 45 points. Runners up were Tony Berecry and Chris Pritchard on 43 points followed by Tony Burnet and Sally Higgins on 41 points. The best individual score was Ian Maggs with 38 points. Ele Fraser took out nearest the pin on both the ladies 4/13 and the 6/15th. Ric Paff was nearest on the 4/13th for the men. The stayers award went to Peter Buettel and Ric Paff.

Teacher's Cup

On Saturday a great field of members played the annual Teacher's Cup stableford event for trophies kindly donated by the teachers of the area.

The winner of the cup was J Andrews with 37 pts he also won A grade on the day, R Moore won B grade with 36 pts and C grade went to S Benson with 33 pts. Runner up in each grade were C McLoed, D Thompson and G Johns, yep Matty and Joey's dad. The ball comp went down to 33 pts. The NTPs went to Eme in A grade, M Howland in B grade, M Stone in C grade with P Wenham won the long drive for C grade. The 2nd shot was won by S MacDonald. This weekend is a 2BB event for trophies kindly donated Dave Fraser of Avon Valley Meats, get your names down to play this weekend. The Derro's matchplay is progressing well but there are still quite a few matches to be completed so please get those matches played so the comp can be completed. The same goes for the graded matchplay.

The 29th is a stableford event for trophies donated by Jason Collins Transport.
