The service offers residents who receive a domestic waste and recycling service, a one-off opportunity each year to dispose of their bulkier waste items by placing them on the kerbside for collection free of charge.
"We know people around the zone are already getting everything prepared," council's Waste Program Coordinator, Amy Hill said.
"Just a reminder though, anything placed out earlier than two days before the pick-up in your zone is considered illegal dumping and you could be fined."
Manning region's zone 1, extending from the Hallidays Point area through to The Bucketts Way at Belbora will be the first to be collected from Monday. For other regions, check the brochure recently delivered to your postal address or check online at www.midcoast.nsw.gov.au/bulkywaste to determine your zone and date of collection.
Waste must be separated into two piles - one for scrap metal and whitegoods, and a separate pile for general and electronic waste.
The piles should be placed neatly on the roadside where your bins are normally collected, and should not obstruct the footpath or roadway. Each of the two piles must not exceed a standard trailer, or it may be rejected. And to avoid windblown littering, loose items must be tied securely into bundles with rope or string, or contained in sturdy boxes rather than plastic bags.
Although mattresses aren't collected in the clean-up, they can be dropped off at one of council's recycling centres for free.
For more information about what will be accepted and what will not, the guidelines for how your waste should be presented, and to find out when your collection will take place, head to council's website or call the Customer Service Team on 1300 290 763.
The Bulky Waste clean-up will continue across the Manning area until August 9 before moving into the Gloucester area from August 19 - 30.
