Runners up were Gary Spokes, Mike Sheely, Neville Atkins def Bob Charman, Peter Sansom, Terry Davies 21-17, Rob Heininger, Barry Peacock, Paul Mumford def Lu Urby, Mark Donoghue, Don Mehieloff 24-22, John Andrews, George Wisemantel, Jim McIntosh narrowly edged out Kevin Burley, Neville Holstein, Alec Laurie on the last end to win 21-20, Terry Higgins, Graham Turnbull, Wayne Groves def Bruce Wilson, Vic Hebblewhite, Terry Carson 18-16. Great to see the Saturday bowls numbers increasing as it is always a very social day enjoyed by all. The triples championships have been delayed to Sunday 7 July, due to zone commitments and one fours first round match may be played on the same day depending on player availability. Entries for the mixed pairs are on the board for players to organise their teams with the first round drawn for Saturday 24 August followed by the second round on Sunday 25 August which will free up future weekends. Many local players will be making the journey to Manning Point on 17 & 18 August to compete in the annual mixed carnival.
