Gloucester struck in the first few minutes starting from a break up the right side from Callum Howard, passed on to Harry Moore who converted the goal. Moments later, Tigers forward striker miss hit his shot, trickling under first time keeper Dave Keen's foot. The Panthers were quick to respond with a goal from forward striker, Dale Tonks, who found his way out of the goals were he's been all season.
Play settled between the two teams for a while and the Panthers built up their passing game with some great play down both sides of the field. The Tigers were awarded a short corner and were able to capitalise on the opportunity with a solid shot right in the corner of the goal.
Gloucester started to make some headway after this, stretching their lead into the second half with further goals from Dale Tonks and with Bruce Snape and Trevor Bolton also adding to the scoreline from some great team play up and down the line.
The Tigers made back some ground late in the second half off another short corner, but it wasn't enough to overcome the final 6-3 score.
The young players in the team are really starting to develop a great sense of team play and working well with the more experienced players on the team to develop some great combination plays on the field. Bruce Snape and Vic Tonks contribute well as a steady influence along the back line while Phil Moore proves to be quite valuable in reading play. Trevor Bolton and Paul Rosenbaum do a fantastic job in controlling play through the centre as feeders to right and left field. The whole team is reading game play well and even though there is not always the same skill level as some of the opposition teams, as a whole team unit, the Panthers are proving to again be a team to be watched as final contenders.
Next week they take on the Cundletown Cougars.
