Thank you so much for your sponsorship Cheryl and it's good to have you playing with us more often, golf is better then holidays, sometimes. The final day of the championships saw Ev Blanch become our Club Championships for the first time, congratulations Ev you had an easy win with a gross score of 273, twenty nine shots better then Myrelle Fraser who was runner up.
B Grade results were much closer with Margaret Dunn ending up the eventual winner by two shots from Jill Carson and Kim Arney was C Grade winner. Congratulations to all the winners. The day competition was won by Rhonda Nightingale with 36 points, Rhonda has become a very consistent golfer, so it's nice to see her have a win and just not be runner up. Runner up was Anne Maggs who has been in the winners circle a lot lately, Anne had 35 points. Ball winners, Ev Blanch 34 points Moyà Harris 34, Jill Carson 33 and Anne Roser 32. NTP 4th/13th, Cheryl Goodrich and 6th/15th, Val Smith.
Friday was our Ladies Open Day which was a great success with 74 ladies participating. Visitors come from as far as Urunga up the coast and as far as Newcastle from the south. A great day was had by all and the people couldn't believe how dry it was here, however everyone commented on the wonderful conditions of the greens. We will publish the results next week.
Next weeks event is the Foursome Championships, so get yourself a partner and me it a great day. Also on Saturday 14th September is the Par 3 Championships.
