Thank you to Peter Markey for organising the day & for providing some beaut trophies for the winners. It just so happened that Pete featured in the winning team alongside Greg West, Mark Finnane & G. Last Saturday (September 7) was the Monthly Medal sponsored by Arkwood & a small field battled the testing windy conditions. Steve Burns came out on top at the end of the day with a crafty 71 nett. Great work Steve! You just managed to take the medal for August by beating Doug Blanch on a countback.Bad luck Doug - I'm guessing there was a putt or two which just slipped by the cup.Steve took out the A Grade Nett, Doug's consolation was the B Grade Nett trophy & C Grade was taken out by the elder statesman Keith "Buddy" Whitby with a 73 nett.A Grade Scratch : Jamie Andrews 80, B Grade Scratch : Doug Blanch 85, C Grade Scratch : Pam Paff 98Ball comp: Steve Burns & Doug Blanch 71, James McLeod 72, Craig McLeod 73, Roy Crichton 73, Peter Wildblood 73.NTPs : A : Jamie Andrews; B : Peter Wildblood; C: Rick PaffB Grade Long Drive : D.
