Gloucester Distinguished Gentleman's Ride gathers numbers

Letter to editor: gentleman's on track

Just an update on this year's Distinguished Gentleman's Ride in Gloucester. Registrations are gathering. When I looked on September 10 there were 29 registered riders with a lot of unfamiliar names. I think there will be a lot of last minute registrations with riders waiting to see what the weather looks like.

If it does rain on Sunday, September 29, we will celebrate the rain as it is desperately needed, and decide whether to cancel the ride, reschedule it or proceed. It will all depend on safety.

All the wonderful ladies and gentlemen of Gloucester have stepped up to help again in various roles from ride leader to marshalls, way markers and sweeps.

Once again the riders will be in for a treat with homemade cakes and slices for morning tea made by some absolutely fabulous ladies who are supporting this cause with their time and creativity.

I just love this town! Everyone is so supportive, not just with money but with their time and energy. How lucky are we to live here!
