Organised by School Strike 4 Climate, the event will take place on Friday, September 20 at The Meeting Place, Gloucester, from 10am - 11am.
Young people from around the world are being encouraged to take part in a global strike to coincide with the United Nations Emergency Climate Summit in New York
The School Strike 4 Climate is a movement by school students from across Australia striking from school as a way of telling our politicians to take their futures seriously and treat climate change for what it is - a crisis.
Other Global Climate Strike events to be held in the region include Fotheringham Park, Taree, from 9am to 11am and The Hub, Shop 1, Sundek Plaza, 15 Wallis St, Forster, from 3.30-5.30pm.
